Arthritis patients should avoid or reduce running, jumping, squatting, climbing stairs and other activities that increase the weight bearing on the joints.
Running will increase the burden on the joints and cause further damage to the already damaged cartilage tissue in the knee joint, which may aggravate the condition. During the stabilization period, patients can perform some exercises with less joint burden.
1. Acute active period of arthritis: when severe pain occurs, patients should mainly rest and brake the joint parts. After the symptoms are relieved and the condition is stabilized, exercise can be performed as prescribed by the doctor.
2. Recovery period of arthritis: the limit is not to produce pain. Joint mobility training, muscle strength training and other training can be carried out with the help of the rehabilitation therapist. As well as swimming, cycling, generalized stretching and other exercises, the frequency of exercise should not be too much, 2~3 times a week can be.
It is recommended that patients with arthritis consult a doctor in a timely manner, under the guidance of a professional doctor for treatment, to develop individualized training programs. Painful symptoms during exercise should be seen immediately to avoid delaying the condition.
