Is a buccal cancer with a hard nodule at an advanced stage?

Pre-existing hard nodules in buccal cancer are not necessarily advanced.
1. Buccal cancer is a kind of common oral and maxillofacial cancer. At the early stage of its development, hard nodules can be seen in the mucosa near the posterior alveolar teeth, and then ulceration can appear on the surface of hard nodules, which are often accompanied by pain and other symptoms. Therefore, it is not enough to judge whether buccal cancer is in advanced stage based on nodules alone.
2. In the advanced stage of buccal cancer, besides the hard nodules which are not clearly defined with the surrounding tissues, the tumor may also increase in size and even penetrate into the mucous membrane. Besides, the cancer cells may metastasize to other tissues, and after invading the nerves, symptoms such as hoarseness may appear, which are often accompanied by relatively severe pain.
Warm reminder: the earlier the patient suffers from buccal cancer seeks for medical treatment, the better, otherwise, as the condition progresses, it may cause more serious threat to the safety of life.
