At the onset of the rash, erythematous papules and clusters of blisters will appear on one side of the body, accompanied by pain, and the lesions do not usually exceed the midline of the body. If herpes zoster occurs on the head and face in some patients, it may cause herpes zoster of the eye, herpes zoster of the ear, etc., which may cause conjunctivitis with severe pain, or herpes of the ear canal, ear pain, facial paralysis and other symptoms.
