There is no such thing as the most effective treatment for lumbar spine pain. Lumbar spine pain may be related to acute lumbar sprain, lumbar disc herniation, ankylosing spondylitis, etc., and can be treated with general therapy, physical therapy, medication and surgery.
1. Acute lumbar sprain: excessive lumbar activity or over-exertion can lead to acute sprain of lumbar muscles and symptoms of lumbar vertebrae pain. It is recommended to take bed rest, with local massage to improve the symptoms, and topical diclofenac cream to alleviate the pain.
2. Lumbar intervertebral disc herniation: lumbar degeneration can lead to intervertebral disc herniation and oppression of the surrounding tissues to produce lumbar vertebrae pain symptoms, it is recommended to reduce the lumbar activities, to avoid lumbar amplitude of too large movement, hot compresses, physical therapy and other treatment methods to relieve symptoms. When the pain is obvious, take ibuprofen and celecoxib orally. In severe cases, minimally invasive surgery such as laminectomy is needed to remove the nucleus pulposus.
3. Ankylosing spondylitis: When suffering from ankylosing spondylitis, because ankylosing spondylitis mainly invades the joints of the spinal column, there can be obvious pain symptoms in the lumbar vertebrae. Oral medications such as cyclophosphamide are needed to treat ankylosing spondylitis.
Lumbar vertebrae pain can also be associated with myofasciitis, bone tumors, lumbar transverse process fracture and lumbar vertebrae fracture, etc. It is recommended to go to the hospital in time, complete the relevant examination and then treatment, so as not to delay the condition.
