Plasminogen activity is an important indicator of hepatic coagulation function and liver reserve function, and the reference range of its normal value is 75%~100%. The main reason for the high level is that the exogenous coagulation pathway is impaired, and the various prothrombin enzymes involved in the process are decreased.
The clinical significance of elevated prothrombin activity is uncertain. It may suggest hypercoagulable state or risk of thrombotic diseases, such as myocardial infarction, deep vein thrombosis, etc., but it is of little significance for diagnosis.
1. Myocardial infarction: When myocardial infarction occurs, the body’s blood is in a hypercoagulable state, and the coagulation function is enhanced, leading to elevated prothrombin activity.
2. Deep vein thrombosis: It is mainly caused by the damage of vein wall, stagnation of venous blood flow and hypercoagulable state of blood, which can lead to the elevation of thromboplastin activity.
When the examination suggests that the prothrombin activity is a little high, you should ask the doctor in time, and the doctor will make a comprehensive assessment according to other examination indexes, and carry out targeted treatment after clarifying the cause of the disease.
