Why is the nose clogged?

Nose blockage may be related to allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, nasal foreign body, nasal swelling, deviated septum, inferior turbinate hypertrophy and so on. 1. Allergic rhinitis. It is a perennial or seasonal attack, which may be caused by inhaling spring pollen, animal hair, dust and other allergens causing nasal congestion. 2. Sinusitis. Acute sinusitis is often secondary to acute rhinitis, causing acute suppurative inflammation, manifested as nasal congestion, pus flow, headache and other symptoms; chronic sinusitis is a chronic inflammation of the mucosa of the sinuses, which can be manifested as nasal congestion, yellow or greenish yellow pus flow. 3. Nasal foreign body. Common in children, the objects or toys and other foreign objects into the nasal cavity and cause nasal congestion. 4. Nasal swelling. Such as hemangioma, maxillary sinus posterior nostril polyp and other benign tumors, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, squamous carcinoma and other malignant tumors often cause long-term and progressive nasal congestion, which may be accompanied by blood in the nasal discharge. 5. Deviated nasal septum. It can cause one side of nostril to be smaller than the other side, which affects the air circulation and leads to nasal congestion. 6. Hypertrophy of the inferior turbinate. Nasal congestion can be caused by edema of the soft tissues near the nasal turbinates or by hypertrophy of the turbinates. When a blocked nose seriously affects breathing, you should seek medical attention.
