Saccharomyces boulardii powder is a live bacterial preparation used primarily to treat diarrhea. It is generally harmless, but adverse reactions such as allergy, urticaria, gastrointestinal symptoms, fungemia, angioedema, rash, and sepsis can occur with the drug.
1. Adverse reactions: relatively rare adverse reactions, occasionally (0.1%-1%) for systemic allergic reactions, skin urticaria, gastrointestinal adverse reactions (intractable constipation, dry mouth), rare (<0.1%) have systemic fungemia, angioedema and rash, very few patients with fungal infections, sepsis manifestations.
2. Contraindications: Contraindications are prohibited for patients who are allergic to a component of the product, patients with central venous catheter infusion (which may lead to fungal infections), patients with fructose intolerance (the product has fructose), congenital galactosemia or lactase deficiency (to avoid exacerbation of the disease).
