Duhuo has the effect of relieving pain and paralysis, dispelling wind and removing dampness. It can be used for wind-cold and dampness paralysis, wind-cold and dampness headache, lumbar and knee pain, Shaoyin ambient wind headache. Duhuo can be used by decocting soup and taking it internally or soaking it in wine. People with Yin deficiency and blood dryness should not take this product.
Qiangwu has the efficacy of dispelling wind and removing dampness, detoxifying the surface and dispersing cold (removing cold from the muscle surface), and relieving pain. It can be used for headache, strong neck, wind-cold flu, shoulder and back pain, and rheumatism paralysis. Qiangwu is used as a decoction to be taken internally, and has also been documented to be used as an infusion in wine. It should not be taken by people with deficiency of qi and blood.
In Chinese medicine, wine is believed to have the effect of promoting the flow of medicines and blood vessels, and can be used for chest paralysis (stuffy pain in the chest), heart pain, contracture of tendons and veins, wind-cold paralyzing pain, and epigastric and abdominal cold pain (cold and painful sensation in the stomach, epigastric region and abdomen).
