Effects of Leucaena leucocephala

Leucaena leucocephala is used for treating blood in stool, carbuncle and leucorrhoea, as well as stopping bleeding, clearing dampness and heat, and eliminating carbuncle.
Leucaena leucocephala is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, with sweet taste and slightly cold nature, which can cool blood, stop bleeding, clear dampness-heat, and also detoxify and eliminate carbuncle.
In clinical practice, Leucaena leucocephala is used to treat diarrhea, diarrhea caused by dampness-heat, diarrhea, eczema, dysentery, carbuncle, hemorrhoids and so on. Excessive consumption of Bambusa amaranthus is associated with adverse reactions such as dizziness and nausea. It is contraindicated during menstruation and pregnancy, and should not be used by patients with prolonged deficiency dysentery.
