Erectile dysfunction is one of the symptoms of erectile dysfunction, which refers to the persistent inability of the penis to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient to accomplish satisfactory sexual intercourse. Physiologic causes are related to overindulgence. Pathological causes are related to cardiovascular disease, neurological factors, endocrine factors and so on. It is recommended that patients go to the hospital in time. 1.Physiological:When the patient grows older, or when he or she masturbates for a long time, has frequent sexual intercourse, or overindulges in sexual intercourse, it may lead to the emergence of erectile dysfunction, which will cause the erection to be not firm. 2.Pathologic: (1) cardiovascular diseases: such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, anemia and other diseases, resulting in insufficient blood supply to the penis and the emergence of erectile dysfunction. (2) Neurological factors:: such as diabetic peripheral neuropathy, post-prostate surgery, spinal cord injury, etc., causing nerve damage, resulting in incomplete nerve reflexes of penile erection, causing the symptoms of poor erection. (3) Psychological factors: when the patient is mentally overstressed, anxious, lack of self-confidence, depression and other psychological disorders, it will lead to erectile dysfunction with or without organic lesions. If physiological causes are excluded, patients are advised to go to the hospital in time to clarify the cause of the disease.
