Depending on the severity of liver fluke infection, abdominal pain, vague pain in the liver area, obstructive jaundice, chills and high fever and other obvious symptoms may appear. Hepatoflagellate infection starts slowly and the incubation period is usually 1~2 months. According to the severity of the infection, it can be categorized into the following 4 types of cases: 1. Mildly infected people have relatively weak symptoms or only a feeling of heavy pressure in the upper abdomen after eating, fullness, lack of appetite or mild abdominal pain, easy to fatigue or poor mental health. 2. Commonly infected patients often have different degrees of fatigue, lack of appetite, abdominal discomfort, vague pain in the liver area, abdominal pain, diarrhea. The vast majority of patients are accompanied by hepatomegaly with pressure and percussion pain. Some patients have systemic symptoms such as anemia, malnutrition and edema. 3. Heavier infected patients may also be accompanied by symptoms of neurasthenia such as dizziness, insomnia, fatigue, dysphoria, palpitation and memory loss. Individuals due to a large number of adult worms blocking the common bile duct and obstructive jaundice. 4. Severe infected patients often have acute onset of disease. The incubation period is short, only 15~26 days. Patients have sudden onset of chills and high fever, with body temperature up to 39°C or above and flaccid fever. Lack of appetite, anorexia of greasy food, hepatomegaly with tenderness, mild jaundice, and splenomegaly in a few cases. After a few weeks, the acute symptoms disappear and enter the chronic phase, characterized by fatigue and dyspepsia. Patients suspected of liver fluke infection should go to the hospital in time, under the guidance of the doctor, improve the relevant examination, clarify the cause of the disease, and be systematic and regular treatment.
