Gallstones are commonly referred to as gallbladder stones, which can be observed and do not require surgical treatment if there are no obvious symptoms of abdominal pain, and require surgical treatment if there are obvious symptoms. Gallstones are composed of different components of cholesterol, bile pigment and calcium salts. Generally, gallbladder stones without obvious symptoms can be followed up and do not require active surgical treatment. Surgery is required if there is a combination of the following conditions: ① Large gallbladder stones (more than 1cm in diameter) or multiple stones with symptoms; ② gallbladder stones complications, such as acute cholecystitis gallbladder pus or fluid or gallbladder perforation; (iii) gallbladder stones with chronic cholecystitis or history of recurrent attacks; ④ gallbladder stones combined with secondary choledochal stones, acute cholangitis or obstructive jaundice, pancreatitis; ⑤ Those with gallbladder stones and suspected gallbladder cancer. The preferred treatment is laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
