A heart rate of more than 100 beats per minute is seen in tachycardia, which is related to physiological or pathological factors and can be treated with general therapy, medication, surgery and electrical cardioversion.
1. Physiological factors: alcohol consumption, exercise, pregnancy, overwork and other factors can cause rapid heart rate, and the symptoms can be relieved after proper rest.
2. Pathologic factors
(1) Heart disease: for example, coronary heart disease, patients may have a rapid heart rate, can use antiplatelet drugs (aspirin), anti-myocardial ischemic drugs (nitroglycerin, propranolol, nifedipine) and other drugs for treatment.
Ventricular tachycardia can be reversed with intravenous drugs or electrically reset. Ventricular fibrillation and ventricular flutter can be treated with electrical cardioversion.
(2) Hyperthyroidism: Hyperthyroidism can be characterized by a rapid heart rate, and treatment with antithyroid drugs (propylthiouracil), iodine 131, and beta-blockers (metoprolol) is recommended.
If the heart rate exceeds 100 beats/minute, physiological factors are excluded, and it is recommended to go to the hospital for timely treatment.
