Can you walk after a hysterectomy?

You can walk out of bed only on the second day after hysterectomy.

After hysterectomy, patients can get out of bed and walk appropriately on the second day, which can help the recovery of gastrointestinal function, and also prevent venous thrombosis in the lower limbs, avoiding complications such as postoperative adhesions. However, hysterectomy is very harmful to the patient’s body, the activity should not be too much, the patient’s body feels tired, should go to bed as soon as possible to rest, do not hold on.

If the hysterectomy patient is in good physical condition and recovers well after the operation, he/she can gradually resume normal walking in about 3 days.

If the hysterectomy patient gets out of bed and walks with abnormal symptoms, such as localized pain, wound cracking, etc., he should give feedback to the attending doctor as soon as possible and take timely measures to avoid serious consequences.

After hysterectomy, you must pay attention to rest, no strenuous exercise, no heavy work or lifting heavy objects, to help the body to recover.
