Reasons for sudden nose bleeding in the middle of the night

There are two main reasons for sudden nose bleeding in the middle of the night: 1, the patient may sleep with dry nasal cavity, nasal discomfort, involuntary rubbing the nose, touching the nose, resulting in the tearing and rupture of the nasal mucosa, thus bleeding. 2, the patient is hypertensive, to the second half of the night when the blood pressure rises, thus appearing blood vessel wall rupture bleeding. For the above situation, it is recommended that the patient go to the emergency ear, nose and throat clinic as soon as possible. Doctors usually check the nasal cavity with a nasal endoscope, and if it is mucosal bleeding and the bleeding is not much, there is usually no big problem and it may stop in a while. If there is arterial bleeding in the nasal cavity, it is best to find a doctor to do endoscopic electrocoagulation to stop the bleeding, which can be done under local anesthesia, with the best surgical effect and the least pain for the patient. If there is no clear bleeding point in the nasal cavity, nasal tamponade is usually required. Other causes are not excluded, such as a patient with a hematologic disorder or a nasal growth.
