Fever after chemotherapy usually disappears in 3~7 days, which is generally related to the cycle of chemotherapy, the condition of the patient and his/her own condition.
Chemotherapy is one of the common ways to treat tumor diseases. Fever caused by chemotherapy is mostly due to the damage of normal cells in chemotherapy, the process of cell necrosis and absorption of fever or due to the use of medication (Doxorubicin, Paclitaxel), but most of the patients have a temperature of not more than 38.4 ℃.
If it is caused by chemotherapy, it usually disappears by itself after the end of chemotherapy, which usually takes about 7 days, during which physical cooling can be used. If it is caused by drugs, it can disappear on its own after stopping the drugs. If the temperature does not go down or high fever occurs, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
Fever after chemotherapy should pay attention to monitor the patient’s body temperature changes, under the guidance of the doctor to take treatment measures, avoid self-medication.
