It is usually normal not to have a menstrual period with the Meniscus IUD. Some patients may experience amenorrhea after using the Mannion IUD. This is often due to the principle of the IUD, which acts on the endometrium, leading to thinning of the endometrium and inhibiting the proliferation of the endometrium, resulting in amenorrhea, which is a normal phenomenon and suggests that the IUD is working, so there is no need to be overly alarmed. Patients are advised to take rest and avoid heavy physical labor or strenuous exercise; women should also avoid sexual intercourse within half a month of wearing the IUD to avoid increasing the risk of infection. Most women will experience menstruation in 3 to 4 weeks after the IUD is put in place. The end of the first menstrual period after the IUD is subject to ultrasound review to see if the position of the IUD is normal, and if there is persistent vaginal bleeding, it should also be checked in time.
