Drugs for advanced lung cancer

There are many kinds of drugs for the treatment of advanced lung cancer: firstly, the traditional cornerstone drugs and chemotherapeutic drugs for the treatment of cancer, pemetrexed, paclitaxel, albumin paclitaxel, gemcitabine, vincristine, etc. can be applied in advanced lung cancer, and irinotecan, pedialyte glycosides, etc. should be considered in case of small cell lung cancer. Secondly, small molecule targeted inhibitors, also for lung cancer with sensitive driver mutations, can be applied in advanced stage such as gefitinib, erlotinib, oxitinib, etc. There are also anti-vascular-based targeted drugs, such as bevacizumab, anlotinib, and immune-targeted drugs that are very hot now, such as PD-1 monoclonal antibody, PD-L1 monoclonal antibody, which should be applied according to different types of patients’ different conditions. In addition to drugs, other comprehensive treatments should be considered for advanced lung cancer, including surgery for distant metastases and radiotherapy for localized lesions, which can help patients survive longer with drugs.
