It is actually common knowledge that alcohol consumption is not recommended for lung cancer patients because lung cancer is a malignant tumor and is a potentially recurring disease, regardless of the level of treatment. There is considerable scientific evidence that alcohol consumption itself is associated with increased incidence of many tumors. Alcohol consumption can also damage the liver and can interact with other medications, affecting their efficacy and increasing liver toxicity. The main component of alcohol, no matter what kind of alcohol, is ethanol, and acetaldehyde, which is produced after decomposition in the liver, is a relatively toxic substance, and most acetaldehyde is not easily degraded in lung cancer patients, which is more likely to damage cellular DNA. Therefore, there is no need to drink alcohol again.
