Reasons for vision regression after hemi-femtosecond surgery

Vision regression after semi-femtosecond surgery is considered and caused by poor eye habits and corneal healing ability. 1. Poor eye habits: Semi-femtosecond surgery is commonly known as myopia surgery, patients can not develop good eye habits after surgery, such as frequent use of computers, cell phones, etc., may reoccur myopia. 2. Strong corneal healing ability: After hemi-femtosecond surgery, there will be a decrease in visual acuity or myopia again, called refractive regression, which is a rare complication after refractive surgery, and it may occur because of the strong healing ability of the cornea. For regression of vision after hemifacial microsurgery, patients are advised to go to the hospital for an optometric examination to determine their vision and the severity of myopia, which can be observed conservatively for a period of time after surgery. However, if after a long period of time, the eyes are still myopic, it is best to seek medical attention as soon as possible and follow the doctor’s instructions for further correction program.
