How to self-correct a child’s internal strabismus

In children with strabismus, it is usually difficult to recover from the condition by self-correction. Children with strabismus may be able to improve their appearance by wearing eyeglasses or having strabismus surgery to correct the strabismus.
Esotropia is a common pediatric ophthalmology condition in which both eyes are not parallel and converge inward, affecting the child’s appearance and potentially causing complications such as amblyopia. In general, strabismus cannot be recovered by self-correction. Patients can adopt appropriate treatment plan according to the type of strabismus, such as wearing glasses and strabismus surgery, in order to eliminate strabismus.
For accommodative strabismus caused by refractive error, children can wear glasses to correct the refractive error so as to balance the eye position. For non-adjustable strabismus caused by developmental abnormalities, children need to undergo strabismus surgery, such as medial rectus muscle reduction.
It is recommended that children with strabismus should be seen in a hospital in time to have their condition evaluated and treated according to the doctor’s instructions.
