For men, the easy way to take this point is to count two rib gaps directly below the nipple, and for women, to count four rib gaps from the angle of the sternum downward, directly below the nipple.
The point belongs to the foot syncope meridian, in the nipple straight down, the sixth rib gap, 4 inches away from the front center line. The easy way to take this point is different for men and women. For men, the nipple is usually flat at the fourth rib gap, and two rib gaps are counted directly below the nipple, i.e., the Phase Gate point; for women, the point is first found at the sternal angle (flat at the second rib gap), and four rib gaps are counted downward, i.e., this is the point.
Acupuncture points need to be operated by professional acupuncturists, massage therapists, traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, and individuals should not operate on their own or go to unofficial medical places for treatment to avoid adverse consequences.
