How to cure Plum Blossom Gas in Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioners usually use Chinese herbs and acupuncture to treat plum nucleus qi (similar to pharyngeal allodynia). Chinese medicine believes that plum nucleus qi is caused by liver qi stagnation (liver qi not flowing smoothly) and phlegm and qi obstruction. Clinically, half-summer and thick-park broth is usually used as the basic formula to dredge the liver and relieve stagnation (treating stagnation by dredging liver qi), and to move qi and resolve phlegm (promoting qi to resolve phlegm). Half-summer and thick-park broth consists of half-summer and thick-park broth, Poria, ginger, perilla, and based on which liver-dispersing medicines such as Chaihu can be added. Chinese medicine practitioners can also use acupuncture to treat Meibei Qi, mostly using acupoints that move qi, dissolve phlegm, and detoxify the liver, such as Taichong, Fenglong, Zhongkou, and Shusanli. Taking Chinese medicine should be under the guidance of a professional Chinese medicine practitioner, and acupuncture treatment must be operated by a professional physician.
