Hepatic hemangioma is a benign tumor and usually does not become malignant. There are no effective drugs for this disease. If the patient is asymptomatic and the hemangioma is less than 5 cm (some think less than 10 cm is fine), and if it is stable and does not continue to grow, he can continue to be observed and have regular medical checkups. Patients with hemangiomas located at the edge of the liver should be protected from impact injuries that could rupture the hemangioma and cause abdominal bleeding. For continuously growing hepatic hemangiomas less than 5 cm, after screening and evaluation, some patients can be considered for ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation or microwave ablation, and we have done about 100 cases in recent years with satisfactory overall results.
