Dosage of cefaclor dry suspension

Cefaclor dry suspension, an oral second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, is used to treat diseases caused by sensitive bacterial infections, and can be used by both adults and children. 0.5g (i.e. 4 sachets), or once every 8 hours, and the daily dosage should not exceed 4g, i.e. no more than 32 sachets. In children, the dose is chosen according to kilogram body weight, and the total daily dose is usually 20 mg/kg, divided equally into 3 portions, once every 8 hours; for less sensitive bacteria or if the infection is more severe, the total daily dose can be doubled, up to 40 mg/kg, and the maximum daily amount is 1 g (i.e., 8 sachets). the safety and efficacy of using cefaclor in children under 1 month of age have not been determined.
