How many umeboshi to drink at a time

According to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, the dosage of umeboshi is 6 to 12g per day, and the number of each dose may vary depending on the size. Umei was first published in the Shennong Ben Cao Jing (Classic of the Materia Medica of the Divine Husbandman). Wu Mei has the effects of astringing the lungs (collecting lung qi), astringing the intestines, generating fluids, and tranquilizing roundworms. The main treatment for lung deficiency and prolonged cough, prolonged diarrhea and dysentery, thirst and drinking, roundworms and abdominal pain, boredom and vomiting. The fried charcoal of umeboshi can also stop bleeding by astringency (using medicines with astringent effect to treat bleeding disorders), which can be used for leakage of menstruation (excessive menstrual flow or dripping), blood in the stool, and so on. The size of each umeboshi varies, so for a more accurate dosage, reference should be made to the Pharmacopoeia for a dosage of 6-12 g. This product has astringent properties and should not be taken by those with external epiphenomena (evils on the surface of the muscles) (e.g. symptoms such as fever and colds, runny nose, etc.), or those with internal accumulation of solid heat and stagnation. Chinese medicines work mainly through decoction. Drinking them in water may affect their efficacy due to the limited release of active ingredients. If medication is needed, it should be used under the guidance of a doctor, not blindly.
