Is stomach pain when you’re hungry a sign of stomach cancer?



Hungry stomach pain is clinically called hunger pain, which is not a sign of stomach cancer, and duodenal ulcer and so on will also have hunger pain. Gastric cancer usually has no obvious clinical symptoms in the early stage of the disease, and hunger pain will appear only in the middle and late stage.

Gastric cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors and ranks second among the malignant tumors of digestive system in China. While most patients with early gastric cancer do not have obvious symptoms, some patients will have non-specific upper gastrointestinal symptoms such as epigastric discomfort and fullness and nausea after eating.

However, when gastric cancer of gastric sinus is in the progressive stage, due to the damage of gastric mucosa, it will lead to typical symptoms similar to duodenal ulcer, i.e. hunger pain.

Therefore, for gastric cancer, if you want to detect gastric cancer in early stage, it is recommended to have regular gastric cancer screening, so as to achieve the purpose of early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment of gastric cancer.
