Strangulated intestinal obstruction is a more serious type of intestinal obstruction disease, which is more serious than other intestinal obstruction diseases, and the patient suffers more. The disease is mainly caused by obstruction of the intestine accompanied by impaired blood circulation in the intestinal wall, and may also be caused by the formation of thrombus due to compression of mesenteric vessels. Its main manifestations include peritoneal irritation or severe pressure pain and rebound pain in a fixed location in the abdomen, and the extraction of bloody fluid from the abdominal cavity.
The onset of strangulated intestinal obstruction is very rapid, and the progression of the disease is also very rapid, and the patient’s whole body will show some symptoms of toxicity, such as elevated body temperature, rapid heartbeat, and shock. During the onset of the disease, the patient may experience severe pain in the abdomen, which may be paroxysmal or increasing in intensity, followed by continuous severe pain. Since strangulated intestinal obstruction is caused by the obstruction of blood circulation in the intestinal wall, intestinal perforation and intestinal necrosis can easily occur, and patients are also in great pain. After the diagnosis of strangulated intestinal obstruction, conservative treatment with medication is not very effective and open surgery is necessary to treat it.
The mortality rate of strangulated intestinal obstruction is relatively high and harmful, so timely treatment is needed after suffering from this disease, and good habits should be cultivated in the diet in general.
