Furazolidone tablets are used for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori and are administered as 100mg once, twice daily. Furazolidone can affect or block the normal metabolic process of bacteria by interfering with the oxidoreductase enzyme required for bacterial survival, thus making it difficult for bacteria to reproduce normally. Furazolidone is not only effective against Helicobacter pylori, but also has an inhibitory effect on Shigella, Escherichia coli and Klebsiella. Furazolidone tablets used to kill H. pylori need to pay attention to the dosage and frequency of taking, usually 100mg once, twice a day. In addition, patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency are prohibited from using this type of drug, and children, pregnant and lactating women and other special groups need to be careful with the use of drugs. Furazolidone may cause adverse reactions such as allergy and neuroinflammation. Furazolidone tablets need to be taken under the supervision of a physician and should not be used blindly on their own.
