Symptoms of iron deficiency anemia include xerostomia, oral lesions, nail abnormalities, manifestations of iron deficiency prophylaxis, and manifestations of anemia. 1. Symptoms (1) Xenophagia: It is a special disease caused by iron deficiency anemia, which may be caused by iron deficiency, but the exact cause is still not clear. Patients will eat some non-nutritious and inedible food, such as dirt, paper, wool and other things, or lick some very dirty things. (2) Oral lesions: keratitis is more common, patients will start with dry and cracked corners of the mouth, followed by erythema, edema, oozing and crusting. Some patients also have cracked corners of the mouth as well as flaking, and if the wound is irritated, there will be a burning sensation. (3) Nail abnormalities: the color of the patient’s nails will become lighter and pale, and there is no luster, the nails will become thin, easy to break, and there will be low saturation and lead to flat nails. 2. Manifestations (1) Iron deficiency primary manifestations: such as women’s heavy menstruation, peptic ulcers, abdominal discomfort, abdominal pain caused by intestinal parasitic infections, changes in stool properties, oncological diseases, wasting, hemoglobinuria and so on.
