Calf muscle throbbing accompanied by an ant-crawling sensation is unlikely to be associated with frostbite, peripheral nerve damage, spinal cord injury and other aspects of frostbite.
1. Frostbite: As the calf muscles are affected by the environment, frostbite is characterized by muscle throbbing accompanied by an ant-crawling sensation, and so on.
2. Impaired peripheral nerve function: drug poisoning, heavy metal poisoning, diabetes and other factors lead to impaired peripheral nerve function, can also appear in the calf muscle throbbing, accompanied by an ant-crawling sensation and so on.
3. Spinal cord injury: when the patient’s spinal cord is injured, motor dysfunction and autonomic dysfunction will occur below the segment, which can be manifested as muscle throbbing accompanied by an ant-crawling sensation and so on.
At the onset of acromegaly, there is no sensory dysfunction, which is often manifested as muscle weakness, myasthenia, myofascial fibrillation, pyramidal fasciculations, medullary palsy, etc. The patient may have muscle throbbing in the calf muscle accompanied by a feeling of ants crawling.
