Epilepsy in the eyes of Chinese medicine

Chinese medicine considers epilepsy to be a phlegm disorder. The brain is the clearest and purest internal organ, which is the gathering of true qi, maintains the meridians, coordinates inside and outside, and presides over the vital essence. If the brain is clear, it is clear and presided over by the right degree; the brain is the sea of marrow, where the essence of water and grain and kidney essence are stored. The clear spirit of the internal organs like quietness and evil movement and disturbance, easy to deficient and easy to real, so the pathological basis of its pathology is the closure of the orifices. Clear orifices are disturbed. If the vital essence is out of control and the divine mechanism is scattered, the patient will be faint and convulsive; if the medulla does not fill up, the vital essence will lose its nourishment and the brain will be deprived of the opportunity, resulting in trance and restlessness and dullness. The heart collects the spirit, the kidney collects the essence and the marrow, the spleen transports the middle jiao, and the liver is responsible for draining and regulating the qi flow. 1. Congenital factors. The vital gate voodoo, or due to parental endowment or improper maternity conditioning, fetal gas damage, or dirty Qi is not level, or Qi rebellion, dysfunction of the viscera. The spleen and kidney are deficient and produce phlegm, the liver is strong and produces wind. 2. Phlegm is generated internally. If you eat too much alcohol, wine and sweetness, you can damage the spleen and stomach, and the spleen is not healthy, so you can get phlegm from dampness; or if you are depressed, you can get phlegm from fire, so you can get phlegm from the fire, and when you meet the cause, you can get phlegm from the fire, or from the wind, so you can get phlegm from the heart and mind and become epilepsy. The unclean diet can block the brain and cause wind movement due to worms, which is also the cause of epilepsy. 3, the seven emotions are out of balance. The main reason is fear. The sudden shock and fear causes Qi rebellion and damage to the internal organs, and damage to the liver and kidneys leads to Yin not converging Yang and generating phlegm and wind. Damage to the spleen and stomach.
