Precautions for pediatric fever include proper monitoring of body temperature, scientific cooling, avoiding the occurrence of febrile convulsions, and reasonable feeding.
1. Correct monitoring of body temperature: It is best to dry the armpits and use a mercury thermometer for axillary measurement when the child is quiet. Frontal thermometer and ear thermometer are easily affected by the external environment, and the measurement data may not be accurate enough sometimes.
2. Scientific cooling: use a warm towel to wipe the body to cool down, or soak in a warm bath to cool down. Do not use alcohol to wipe the child’s body to cool down. After sweating, dry the child’s body in time and change clothes. When the fever is high, you need to use fever-reducing drugs under the guidance of a doctor, children commonly used antipyretic drugs such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen and so on.
3. Do not cover too much when the child has a fever, to avoid the emergence of febrile convulsions. If there is a case of febrile convulsions, you should immediately turn the child’s head to the side to prevent aspiration, and promptly go to the hospital or call 120 for help.
4. Reasonable feeding: Diet to light and easy to digest, drink more water, promote the body’s circulation and metabolism.
If the child has recurrent fever and is not in good spirits, it is recommended to take the child to the hospital in time.
