How to Improve Large Finger Joints



Enlarged finger joints should be improved by general treatment, medication, physiotherapy and surgery depending on the cause. It may be caused by physiological enlargement, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, trauma, acromegaly and so on.

1. Physiological enlargement: Some people who often engage in hand labor may have physiological enlargement of finger joints, without any symptoms, generally do not need treatment.

3. 4. Trauma: when the hand is traumatized, the extensor tendon at the back of the joint is damaged, and local bleeding causes swelling of the finger joints, which requires timely surgery to remove hematoma and restore the integrity of the tendon.

5. Acromegaly: it is mainly caused by long-term excessive secretion of growth hormone, and it can be treated with growth inhibitors and other medications, or improve the symptoms through the pterygoid sinus surgery.
