One of the laparoscopic appendectomy wounds is on the left side because it makes it easier for the surgeon to operate. There are generally three openings for laparoscopic appendectomy, in the navel, suprapubic region and left lower abdomen. If the hole is made in the right lower abdomen, i.e., the appendix region, it is too close to the appendix for the surgical tools to be retracted, and the surgical operation is inconvenient. Moreover, the appendix is located in the right lower abdomen in most patients, with only a few variations in location. Perforation in the left lower abdomen is not only close to the location of the abdominal appendix to cope with appendiceal variations, but also facilitates a series of operations during surgery. Transperitoneal laparoscopic appendectomy can be used for acute appendicitis, septic appendicitis etc. Laparoscopic surgery has a small wound, quick recovery and the patient is active at an early stage.
