The uterine adnexa are the female internal reproductive organs and are important for female fertility. The uterus is located in the pelvic cavity and is one of the female internal reproductive organs. In a normal pregnancy, the fertilized egg is deposited at the endometrium and thereafter begins to grow and develop in the uterus until it matures and is delivered to the mother. The adnexa refer to the female fallopian tubes and ovaries, which are located on both sides of the uterus, and are also women’s internal reproductive organs. Under normal circumstances, the ovaries release mature eggs during ovulation, and the fallopian tubes pick up the mature eggs into the tubes, where they combine with sperm to form a fertilized egg, which then enters the uterus to give birth to a fetus. Therefore, when there are lesions in the uterine adnexa, patients should seek medical treatment as soon as possible, so as to avoid delaying the condition and leading to adverse consequences.
