One month after having cataract surgery, you can usually lower your head. Cataract is an eye disease caused by the degeneration of lens proteins due to various factors, resulting in clouding of the lens. Patients with cataracts can experience vision loss, which can be treated with surgery, such as ultrasonic emulsification combined with IOL implantation, to improve vision. Usually about 1 month after surgery, the patient’s condition is more stable and he/she can perform normal activities. Within 1 month after cataract surgery, increase in eye pressure due to various reasons should be avoided to prevent displacement of the IOL, so no head-down movements should be done. One month after surgery, patients can do head-down activities. However, patients should pay attention to eye cleanliness and hygiene, regular review, and avoid eye trauma. It is recommended that post-cataract surgery patients follow the doctor’s instructions for care, regular checkups, and timely consultation when discomfort occurs.
