What’s wrong with poor keratoconus control?

Poor control of corneal reshaping lenses may be caused by insufficient use time, mismatched lenses and poor eye habits. 1. Insufficient use time: Keratoplasty lenses are specially designed rigid contact lenses that mechanically press or massage the cornea to make the central radius of curvature larger so as to achieve the purpose of vision correction. They generally need to be used for at least 7 to 8 hours a day. If this time is not reached, the effect may be unsatisfactory. 2. Lens mismatch: Each patient’s corneal curvature is different, and it is necessary to wear the appropriate specification of keratoplasty lenses according to individual differences, if the lenses do not match, it may lead to poor myopia control. 3. Poor eye habits: If the patient’s daily eye habits are poor, frequent overuse of the eyes, so that the cornea is too stretched, the curvature corrected by wearing keratoplasty lenses is gradually dissolved, may also make the patient feel that the effect of keratoplasty lenses is not good to control. When patients find that the control effect of keratoplasty lenses is not good, they should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible, consult with the attending physician, and adjust the regularity of the use of keratoplasty lenses or replace the lenses to avoid damage to the cornea.
