How long can you live without treatment for squamous lung cancer?

The survival period of patients with squamous lung cancer is related to the pathological stage of the cancer and the patient’s basic health condition, which needs to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis and cannot be generalized. For early stage lung cancer patients, if they are not actively treated, the disease may develop gradually and may progress to advanced stage in 3-5 years, although the exact time varies from person to person. If patients with advanced squamous lung cancer still do not receive treatment, the disease will continue to develop. If the patient has a good general condition and no other uncomfortable symptoms, the survival period may be about 1 year, while some patients have poor general condition and certain underlying diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, etc., the survival period is relatively short, which may be only 2-6 months or even shorter. Therefore, it is recommended that patients with lung squamous carcinoma should visit the oncology department or respiratory department in time to cooperate with doctors for reasonable and effective treatment, which can help control the disease, reduce pain and prolong life.
