Not 90% of lung nodules are lung cancer, it is based on the determination of the size and shape of the nodule, the location of the growth, and especially the dynamic observation of the changes in the lung nodule, so that the nature of this nodule can be determined. According to the available CT, the morphology of the nodules is sometimes diverse, some may be inflammation, some may be scarring, some may be old tuberculosis foci, and some may be tumors. There is still a discrepancy in determining benign or malignant based on morphology alone. It is misleading to consider lung cancer in 80%-90% of lung nodules, which can be malignant, such as carcinomas and sarcomas, but most are benign, such as misshapen tumors. Some lung nodules, which may have a tendency to become malignant, require a biopsy of the lung tissue to clarify the nature of the nodule. If it is lung cancer, early surgical treatment, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, etc. should be carried out.
