Is a 1.6cm lung nodule cancer?

Lung nodule 1.6cm is not necessarily cancer.
Lung nodule 1.6cm has the possibility of lung cancer, pneumonia, inflammatory pseudotumor, tuberculosis ball, misshapen tumor and so on.
1) Lung cancer: lung nodules in lung cancer imaging are mostly surrounded by burrs, and there are malignant signs such as vascular cluster sign, vacuole sign and pleural depression sign.
2) Pneumonia: Pneumonia imaging can also have signs of lung nodules, and the common ones are spherical pneumonia, Aspergillus, cryptococcal infection, etc. This kind of nodule imaging is often combined with other inflammatory changes, such as patchy shadow and cavity formation.
(3) Inflammatory pseudotumor: imaging may have pulmonary nodule performance, but this nodule is smooth edge, spherical or spherical, density is more uniform.
(4) Tuberculosis ball: the imaging of tuberculosis ball in pulmonary tuberculosis may show pulmonary nodules, there may be satellite foci around the nodule, and there may be multiple calcified foci in the lung.
(5) Malignant neoplasm: it is mostly an isolated round or oval mass in the lungs, which contains fatty components and calcification foci, and popcorn-like calcification is the characteristic imaging manifestation of malignant neoplasm.
Warm tips: imaging is only a way to assist in the diagnosis of the disease, can not be characterized, such as the discovery of lung nodules, need to timely hospital consultation, need to be combined with clinical symptoms, if necessary, need to be clearly diagnosed by percutaneous lung puncture or surgery and other ways.
