No study has shown that there is a contraindication to the simultaneous decoction of Andrographis paniculata and Pinellia ternata, which can be taken at the same time under the condition of diagnosis and treatment. Andrographis paniculata is bitter and cold in nature, belonging to the heart, lung, large intestine and bladder meridians, with the effects of clearing heat and detoxification (removing heat and toxicity from the body), cooling the blood, reducing swelling and drying dampness. Andrographis paniculata can be used for the treatment of exogenous wind-heat, the first signs of warm disease; can treat lung heat cough and asthma, damp-heat diarrhea (diarrhea caused by feeling damp-heat evil), hot shower (burning stinging pain during urination, accompanied by urinary frequency and urgency, abdominal discomfort) astringent pain, eczema and itching, carbuncle, swelling, sores and poisoning. Adverse effects of Andrographis paniculata are not clear. It should not be taken for a long time; it is not suitable for people with yang deficiency and coldness of the spleen and stomach (spleen and stomach weakness and cold). Half-summer is pungent, warm and poisonous in nature, and belongs to the spleen, stomach and lung meridians. It has the efficacy of drying dampness and resolving phlegm (removing phlegm in the body with dampness-drying medicines), subduing rebelliousness and stopping vomiting (blocking the upward rush of gastric qi, stopping vomiting), eliminating lumps and dispersing knots, and eliminating swelling and pain with external use (eliminating swelling and pain). It can be used to treat damp phlegm, cold phlegm, vomiting, heart lumps (mainly refers to stomach distension), knot chest, plum nucleus qi (similar to pharyngeal allergy), gall tumors (the equivalent of thyroid tumors), phlegm nuclei (subcutaneous swellings such as nuclei of the nodules) and so on. Half-summer adverse reactions are not clear. It is against aconite, and should not be used together with aconite drugs. Because of its warm and dry nature, it should be used with caution in cases of yin deficiency and dry cough, blood syndrome (non-physiological bleeding disorders), hot phlegm and dry phlegm. If you need to use traditional Chinese medicine, it is recommended that you consult the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the regular hospital and follow the doctor’s instructions to use the above medicines for standardized treatment.
