Poor function of the thumb of hemiplegic hand can be restored by reducing muscle tone training, joint mobility training and wearing assistive devices. 1. Training to reduce muscle tension: hemiplegic patients will have symptoms of abnormally high muscle tension in the hand, which will lead to contracture of the joints, and muscle stretching can be used to reduce the muscle tension of the hand. 2. Joint mobility training: hemiplegic patients with limited hand joint movement can be helped by joint mobility training to increase the mobility of the hand joints to restore function. 3. Wearing assistive devices: Wearing assistive devices can inhibit hand deformity and assist in fine finger movements such as grasping and finger-pairing. If there are symptoms of hemiplegic hand with poor thumb function, rehabilitation training should be carried out under the guidance of a rehabilitation doctor.
