How to check for tubulointerstitial damage

Renal tubulointerstitial damage can be diagnosed by urine, blood, imaging, renal puncture biopsy and other related tests.
1. Urine examination: when renal interstitial damage, protein may be secreted from renal tubular interstitium into urine, usually small molecule proteinuria, and microscopic hematuria and tubular urine can be seen in urine sediment examination.
2. Blood test: some patients may have low potassium, low sodium, high chloride, metabolic acidosis, etc. For patients with chronic tubulointerstitial nephritis, anemia may occur. It can also observe whether there are other renal function abnormalities and immune system damage.
3. Imaging examination: renal ultrasound can detect the morphology of the kidney, kidney position, etc. It can check the localized damage of the renal tubules and make it easy to understand the severity of the disease.
4. Renal puncture biopsy, pathologic examination is important for confirming the diagnosis.
If patients need to know whether there is tubulointerstitial damage, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals, where specialized doctors will prescribe and evaluate the test results.
