Edema may be a symptom caused by heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, endocrine disease and so on. If the symptoms of edema persist, you can go to the regular hospital and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment to avoid delaying the condition. 1. Heart disease: such as heart failure, failure of body circulation, blood reflux obstruction, can lead to edema of the lower limbs or low-hanging parts of the body. 2. Kidney diseases: such as glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, etc. Kidney diseases affect the glomerular filtration rate and produce less urine, resulting in edema, which is usually manifested in the early stage as morning facial edema or double lower extremity edema, and in severe cases, generalized edema can occur. 3. Liver diseases: such as severe hepatitis, cirrhosis, etc. Severe liver diseases can cause hypoproteinemia and portal hypertension, leading to a decrease in colloid osmotic pressure and thus edema, which is usually manifested as lower limb edema or ascites. 4. Endocrine diseases: such as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism and other diseases can cause edema due to hormonal imbalance. If edema is difficult to be relieved, or accompanied by other discomforts, it should be consulted in time.
