Herpes pharyngitis does not usually cause swollen and bleeding gums. If it occurs at the same time, it may be a viral infection that spreads and induces herpes gingivitis, resulting in swollen and bleeding gums. Or the symptoms may be caused by other disease factors such as periodontal disease.
The medication guidelines for these two different conditions are basically the same, but if the patient’s gums are not diseased, the symptoms will disappear a little faster.
