When an elderly person has cataract, if it is in the initial stage and does not affect normal work and life, cataract medication can be used for treatment, however, the efficacy is not very precise. Surgery is still the main treatment for age-related cataracts. At present, the commonly used surgical procedure is microscopic cataract ultrasound emulsification plus IOL implantation, and the surgical efficacy is relatively satisfactory. Ultrasonic emulsification is one of the fastest developing surgeries in recent decades, because of the advancement of surgical equipment and technology, the complications of the original cataract surgery, have been reduced substantially, but it is not equal to none, and it is easy to cause complications such as corneal endothelial loss and macular cystoid edema, and detailed preoperative examination should be made to be exact.
