What mild nipple inversion looks like

Mild nipple inversion is characterized by a nipple that is below the areolar plane and can be extruded by hand, with no tendency to retract.
Inverted nipple usually manifests as nipple concavity, below the areola plane. Because of the high number of folds in the shape of the nipple, there is often accumulation of sweat and oil collection, which is more difficult to clean, resulting in mild dermatitis-like changes.
Mild nipple inversion is possible to extrude the nipple by hand and there is no tendency for the nipple to retract after extrusion. The overall shape and size of the nipple is no different from normal, and there are usually no other complications.
For mild nipple inversion, it is mostly recommended that the patient frequently pulls and squeezes out the inverted nipple, which is effective after insisting for a period of time.
If the nipple inversion is not congenital but occurs recently, it is recommended that the patient go to the Breast Surgery Department of the hospital to confirm whether there is any primary breast disease through breast ultrasound and other examinations, and then corresponding treatments can be done after the diagnosis is confirmed.
