Sudden loss of speech in the tongue is usually very rare in dentistry, and may be caused by the growth of a tumor in the root or body of the tongue, but most of these cases are gradual. If the clinical phenomenon of sudden incoherent speech occurs, most of them are cerebrovascular problems, i.e. stroke and cerebral infarction, which can lead to incoherent speech, while for stomatology, even if it is a tumor, it will not lead to sudden unfavorable speech. Clinically for stomatology, two diseases can cause slurred speech, one is cleft palate and the other is short tongue tie, both of which are congenital and do not result in clear speech before but slurred speech after.
