Vagus nerve injury is divided into etiological treatment and symptomatic treatment. First, firearm injuries, mostly due to high-speed projectile injury, nerve injury is extensive, the wound are severely contaminated, inhibit wound infection. Initial treatment principles, the wound should be done thoroughly debridement, rather than suture the nerve. No excision of the injured part of the nerve is done, and no free severance is done to prevent the spread of contamination. Second, the skull base fracture, itself does not need special treatment, the focus is to prevent infection and rational use of antibiotics. Third, intraoperative nerve protection is strengthened, and when skull base surgery is performed, microsurgical techniques are applied to carefully protect the vagus nerve. It is very important to protect the linguopharyngeal nerve from irreversible injury. Fourth, central nervous system inflammation should be anti-inflammatory, anti-inflammatory before it is too late, and the course of the disease should be sufficient. V. Skull base tumor, surgical treatment or stereotactic radiation therapy should be performed as appropriate. For tumor in occipital foramen area, extracranial segment should be mainly resected, and those with intracranial residual should be treated by stereotactic radiation. For glioma of the medulla oblongata, microsurgical resection is feasible, together with stereotactic radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Symptomatic treatment: i. A paste-like semi-liquid diet should be administered to patients with severe cough. Second, patients with high intracranial pressure should be given to reduce intracranial pressure. For patients with headache, nausea and vomiting, analgesic treatment is feasible.
